Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp all go down, as users complain while apps do not work.

All Facebook services and apps appear to be down, causing a massive outrage, while apps are no longer working.

According to DownDetector, Facebook and other services of the tech giant are no longer working. The outrage appears that is started about 20 minutes ago and still major complains are being done by the average consumer.

This is nothing new, as major outrages with tech giants tend to happen frequently these times.

Instagram Feed may show a red message on the bottom of your screen. saying "Sorry, something went wrong".

Sending a message over Messenger, there won't be a tick next to the message, but a hollow white circle, meaning that the message has not been delivered to the receiver.

People use Twitter to report their complains, some with humorous ways with the use of memes with the hashtags of #Facebookdown, #Instagramdown etc.

Mark Zuckemberg, founder of Facebook owns Instagram, WhatsApp and Messager. The company is yet to comment on the outrage.

8:50pm UPDATE

Since the initial outrage, more and more theories are being circulating around the web with many people still wondering what's going on with Facebook and all of their services.

Some people think the DNS record of Facebook, Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp is pulled off the DNS. Think of the DNS as a catalog containing all the domains linking to their corresponding IP address.

When you search for "facebook.com", your browser will speak to the DNS to locate the IP address for "facebook.com" and once it finds it, your browser connects to the Facebook server and retrieves the webpage you have requested. But in this time, the DNS record for "facebook.com" seems that it's not even there.

 The outrage for Facebook continues...

Here's a Tweet posted by Krebs, a journalist covering topics about cybersecurity, supporting the theory about the DNS records being deleted from the DNS.
